Thank you for choosing Vernac Books. We are thrilled to bring the joy of premium mother-tongue reading to your home. Because we operate an agile, in-house manufacturing hub, our shipping process works a little differently than traditional bookstores.
1. Order Processing & Lead Times
To ensure the highest quality, every Vernac Books order is printed on-demand. We print, laminate, cut, and bind all under one roof.

Manufacturing Lead Time: Please allow up to 7 business days from the date your order is placed for it to be manufactured and assembled.

This time allows our dedicated team to ensure your books meet our strict quality standards before they are shipped.
2. Shipping & Transit Times
Once your books have passed quality control and are ready to leave our facility, they are handed over to our trusted courier partners, such as The Courier Guy or Bob Go.

Standard Delivery: Transit will take 3 to 5 business days after dispatch, depending on your location within South Africa.

Total Estimated Wait Time: From the moment you click "buy" to the moment the books arrive at your door, please expect a total timeline of 10 to 12 business days.
3. The Premium Unboxing Experience
We believe that receiving a book in your mother tongue should feel like a gift. All retail orders are beautifully wrapped in premium black tissue paper, sealed with a branded Vernac Books sticker, and shipped in a sturdy cardboard mailer box.

4. Order Tracking
As soon as your package is dispatched from our manufacturing hub, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to monitor your delivery status in real-time.
5. Bulk Orders & School Deliveries
For large volume orders, such as bulk corporate CSI "Literacy Drops" or independent school Term Packs, specialized freight arrangements may apply. Please contact our team directly at hello@vernacbooks.co.za to confirm specific lead times and shipping logistics for bulk B2B procurement.
